John Pearson Fletcher

1933 – 2025

 

John Pearson Fletcher, born December 5, 1933, passed away peacefully May 25, 2025 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB.

John is survived by his loving wife Dorothy of 70 years; their children, Gail Barrett (George), Doug (Laurie), Timmy (Vicki), Robin(Brenda), Mike (Natalie), & David (Tara); grandchildren, Sean (Jordyn), Mandy (Kevin), Matt (Chelsea), Melissa Seymour (Mike), Jonathan Henry (Hartley), Rebecca Henrey (Cody), Robbie (Danielle), Jessica (Brad), Emma & Josh; several great-grandchildren & great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; sisters, Betty Alarie & Esther Durelle (Maurice).

He was predeceased by his children, Robert, Mark and Lisa; grandson, Nicky; parents, Jesse Fletcher (Margaret) & Ethel Gibson (Flecther) Sewell (Leo); sisters, Elaine Brewer & Violet Murphy; brother, Wallace; brothers-in-law, Reg Brewer, Bill Murphy, and Murray Alarie; sister-in-law, Doreen; and nephews, Wallace Jr. Fletcher and Jesse Fletcher.

There will be a Funeral Service held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, at 2 pm with Pastor Chris Bennett officiating. An interment will take place directly after the service at Sunny Bank Cemetery. Donations in John’s name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com.
