Obituary of Darcy Brent O'Donnell

The sudden passing of Darcy Brent O'Donnell occurred on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at his home in Priceville, New Brunswick. Born on July 6, 1957 in Ludlow, New Brunswick, he was the son of the late Gregg Walter and Mary Elizabeth (Price) O'Donnell. Darcy worked all over Canada as a Millwright, Power Engineer and Wood Faller. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and carpentry. He had friends everywhere and will be remembered for his stories, jokes and incredibly infectious laughter.

Darcy is survived by his partner, Susan Hovey of Priceville, NB; chosen daughter, Sarah O'Donnell (Sloane Grey) of Georgetown, ON; brothers, Brian O'Donnell (Cheryl) of Fredericton, NB, Barry O'Donnell (Mary) of Edmonton, AB, and Carl O'Donnell (Norma) of Fort St. John, BC; several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Darcy was predeceased by his chosen daughter, Laurie O'Donnell and brothers, Kenny, Craig, Douglas, Darryl, James and Keith.

Arrangements have been entrusted to York Funeral Home’s Miramichi Valley Chapel. At Darcy’s request, there will be no visitation or service. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
