Obituary of Bliss Richard Munn

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Bliss Richard Munn of Astle, NB, which occurred on Sunday, May 18^th, 2025 at Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on February 5^th, 1959 in Holtville, NB.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Cindy; daughters, Dawn King (Pete), and Kaitlyn Munn (Kyle); his cherished grandsons, Jacob King (Haley) and Thomas Keenan; father-in-law, Leslie Davies; along with sister, Gloria Munn; brothers, Merlin Munn, and Arthur (Trudy) Munn; sister-in-law, Ann (Garth) Sparkes; brother-in-law, Robert (MaryAnn) Davies. His many nieces and nephews held a special place in his heart.

Bliss is predeceased by his mother, Olive Munn; sisters, Patsy Spencer and Cora Corbett; mother-in-law, Barbara Davies; nephews, Darren and Chuck Spencer.

Bliss worked in the woods operating machinery for most of his life. He started working at a young age at the mill in Boiestown. Bliss was very involved in the community. He was a member of the Upper Miramichi Lions Club. He helped anyone whenever he could with his big heart. Bliss could be found tormenting or just driving around checking things out. He enjoyed spending time in Taxis River at his camp. He had a love for yard sales and gathering things.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of Dr. Everet Chalmers Regional Hospital and Saint John Regional Hospital for their care.

Dad, Grampy, Uncle will be missed and never forgotten.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, May 25, 2025 at the Upper Miramichi Lion's Club, Boiestown, from 1pm - 3pm. For those who wish, remembrances can be made to the Diabetic Foundation or charity of your choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com.
