Obituary of Mavis Wanda Long

Please share a memory of Mavis to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with great sadness that the family of Mavis Wanda Long (Price) announce her passing on Friday, May 9, 2025 at her home in Ludlow, NB.

She is remembered for her quiet humor, kind heart, and devotion to God; that shone through in her daily life. Mavis loved gardening, socializing, traveling and great food.

Born May 6, 1939 in Priceville, NB, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Myrtle Price. She is survived by her daughters, Shawna (Trevor) Morehouse, Brenda (Ted) O’Donnell and Bernice Price. Her love for her family was evident as she loved their visits and never missed a party or celebration. Nanny Mavis was proud of her grandchildren and their families, Rachel, Tyler, Jesse, Megan (Jody), Rocky (Carmen), Kyle (Elizabeth), Shane (Jillian). She adored her great-grandchildren, Gracelynn, Claire, Ryan, Alex, Florence, Rory and baby to be. They all proudly wore her knitted creations. She is survived by sisters, Evelyn Stewart, Hazel Swazey, Rebekah Stewart; and brothers, Gerald and Merlin Price.

Mavis was predeceased by her husband, Baden Long; sisters, Verna Price and Ida Boyle; her brother, Norman Price; and special granddaughter-in-law, Nicole (Nicky) Simon.
