Obituary of Gary Edward Munn

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Edward Munn of Hayesville, NB on May 4th, 2025 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB.  He was born on February 9, 1945 in Taxis River, NB. He was the son of the late Edward and Myrtle (Stewart) Munn.

In addition to his parents, Gary was predeceased by an infant brother, Gene Munn; sister, Vera Munn; brother, Rick Munn; brothers in-law, Ray and Gladwin Norrad.

Gary is survived by his loving wife, Vivian Berry and her family; daughter, Sandi (Robin) Hood, grandchildren Brett (Melissa) Hood, Brittany Hood (Tyler); great-granddaughter Tessa Hood, siblings, June (Arnold) McKay of Creston, BC, Marilyn (Stafford) Munn, Susan Norrad, Mary (Weldon) Norrad and Marlene (Derrick) Sewell; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Gary worked in the woods all his life.  When he wasn’t working in the woods he was cutting firewood, improving his yard by building gardens, ponds, camps, etc.  Anything to be outdoors working with Vivian. 

The family would like to say a special thank you to the Hospice staff, DECH 4W and 4NW staff who took amazing care of Gary and really helped the family.
