Aubrey was born in 1932 in Chatham, NB, the daughter of the late Alexander (Sandy) and Priscilla (Fraser) Ross. She was educated in Chatham schools, graduating from the Chatham Grammer School. She pursued a career in nursing, graduating from the Miramichi Hospital School of Nursing. She worked in hospitals in Newcastle, Sackville, Sarnia, Fredericton and Oromocto, as well as with the Province of New Brunswick, Public Health Department.

Aubrey first married Dr. W. Alan Henry (deceased in 1964), and then Harold D. McLeod. They have two children; Stephen Henry (Roxie) and Catherine LaRochelle (Wayne); also survived by grandchildren: Jessica Roy-Paul (Martine Roy), Justin Henry (Danielle), Ashlen Albright (Kyle), Hannah Stride (Josh) and Megan LaRochelle; and by six great-grandchildren (Matthew, Cascia, Romeo, Benjamin, Abigail, and Conrad). Aubrey is also survived by her sister, Dorothy Ann (Robert) Wilson of Miramichi; sisters-in-law, Myrna (late Sandy) Ross of Fredericton, Evlyn (late George) Flewelling of Saint John, and Eleanor (late Roy) McLeod of Ottawa; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and first husband, she is predeceased by a great-grandchild, Iris, her brother Sandy Ross; brothers-in-law, Douglas McLeod and Roy McLeod; sister-in-law, Joyce and brother-in-law, Frank MacLoon

Aubrey always enjoyed a good laugh, and people were drawn by her sense of humor and her warm heart. She was an active member of Nashwaaksis United Church, where she sat on numerous committees and bible study groups. She is a former member of the Fredericton Lioness Club, where she served as Treasurer for 20 years. Aubrey and Harold were founding members of the New Brunswick Christian Ashram, and served on its Board for 12 years.

Aubrey and Harold spent many years square dancing playing cards with friends as well as travelling. They had a wide circle of friends and enjoyed entertaining.

A visitation will take place on Friday, June 6, 2025 at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB from 6 – 8 pm. A funeral service will be held the following day, Saturday, June 7, 2025 at the Nashwaaksis United Church, 46 Main St, Fredericton, NB at 2 pm with Rev. Kay Clowater officiating. A reception will take place following the service.

Donations can be made to the Nashwaaksis United Church, Hospice Fredericton, or to the York Care Foundation. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
