Obituary of Janet Louise Parker

Please share a memory of Janet to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Our beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and friend, Janet Louise Parker (Donaldson) went home to be with the Lord on April 27, 2025, after losing a tough battle with cancer.  She was 84.

Born on November 26, 1940, in Toledo, Ohio to David and Carrie Donaldson, Janet was a devoted wife to Glen Parker of Doaktown, New Brunswick Canada and a loving mother to Kenny Turner, Kevin Turner, Rick Dewey, Rebecca Stewart, Keith Turner (Tammy), Kirt Turner, Karl Turner (Amanda) and 18 grandchildren of various states within the United States.

She is preceded in death by her parents (David & Carrie Donaldson), her brothers (Leonard, Charie, John, Daniel and Jerry), baby twins, stepson Kevin Turner and step granddaughter Charly Parker.

Besides many of her own children and grandchildren, she is also survived by her husband of 35 years (Glen Parker) and five stepsons, (Larry Parker (Deborah), Jackie Parker (Laura), Jamie Parker (Jennifer), Chris Parker, Tony Parker (Charlene) and 19 additional grandchildren.

Janet’s dream was to be a nurse, but her love for her family and God took precedence over chasing that dream. She kept her focus on God and dedicated her life to serving others.  Rest in Peace our sweet loving wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.

Interment will take place in Doaktown Wesleyan Methodist Cemetery on June 10th, 2025, at 3 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Miramichi Valley Allegheny Wesleyan Methodist Church Ltd can be made. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
