Obituary of Lillian Marjorie Foreman

Please share a memory of Lillian to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Lillian Marjorie Foreman (Bree) passed away peacefully on April 5th, 2025, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton, surrounded by her loved ones.

Lillian was born on September 1st, 1946, in Saint John, New Brunswick, to Mary Bree (Knight) and Robert Bree. As a young girl, she attended Lorne Elementary School and later went on to study at Vocational High School. In her adult years, she spent a significant portion of her life in Gary, Indiana, USA, where she began her family.

Lillian dedicated over 30 years to geriatric care — a field where her kindness and compassion truly shone. She also found joy in watching wrestling, telling her favorite stories, knitting, baking, and sharing a good laugh. A true adventurer at heart, Lillian loved taking road trips and often reminisced about her favourite travel memories.

Lillian was known for her immense generosity, quick wit, and unwavering strength. She remained a source of light and humor, even in difficult times.

She is survived by her beloved children, Katherine, Tisha, and Eric.

She was a proud grandmother to Brandi, James & Jenn, Destini, Garry, Kisha, Justin, Kateena, and many others.

Her love lives on through her great-grandchildren, including Jayce, Devlin, Shawn, and many more.

She is lovingly remembered by her sisters, Sally, Barbara, and Loretta, along with many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Lillian was predeceased by her sisters, Audrey, Agnes (Aggie), and Christina (Tickey); her best friend, Brenda; and by her beloved, James (Jim) Foreman. Jim and Lillian shared over 40 years together filled with laughter and unforgettable moments. Their connection was lasting — and now, in spirit, they walk together once more.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to all of Lillian’s friends for the love, support, and generosity you’ve shown over the years. A special thank you goes to her niece, Nancy and her family in California for their unwavering support. The family also wishes to recognize Lillian’s cherished friends at Neville Manor — your care and companionship made her final years truly special. To her, you were more than friends; you were family.

She was deeply loved, and she loved her people with all her heart

At the family's request, there will be no visitation or services. For those who wish, memorial donations in Lillian’s name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
