Sinikka & Family, I was so saddened to hear of Nancy's passing. As a child and a neighbour, I always felt welcome in her home. She had such a warm, kind presence that made anyone who stepped through her door feel at home. Those memories will always stay with me.
Sinkkka, I understand the depth of this pain, as I lost my own mom in 2019, and my heart truly goes out to you. Please know that I am thinking of you and your family during this incredibly difficult time, sending you all my love and strength as you navigate this loss. Nancy’s memory will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her.
With deepest condolences,
Terri Austin (McCarty) Toronto ON.

To Nancy's Family -- so very sad to see the news of her passing. She and my mother (Isabel Geddes / Gardner in Moncton) were great pals in years gone past, having met as neighbours when we lived on Downsview Avenue. I can still hear your mom's voice bellowing from the front door, "Michael, Tony, Sinikka!" when it was time for you to go in. She was a very special person, indeed. Sending all of you my deepest condolences.

Sending everyone in the family my love and blessings that you have all the comfort you need at the right moment as you say “bye for now” to your sweet Mama.
She was such a positive, inspiring person to me and my mamma. I can still hear her voice-direct, honest and genuine. I am so grateful to have known her all because she was my grandmother Mary Jean’s best childhood friend. The universe brings us together with those we need at the right time. Nancy George and Sinikka have been such gifts to us.
Wishing Nancy George a smooth and easy journey along the path to peace. May she be at peace always. ✨

Nancy became a friend easily when my wife and I moved into the same apartment building. I soon learned that we three belonged to the same family; that is God's family. I visited her a number of times in her apartment, talked about our faith in Christ Jesus and His daily presents in our lives. I would have prayer with her before going back to our apartment. We missed her when she moved out; but we know that we will meet again in the Heavenly Kingdom. God bless her family and friends with encouragement, faith and Holy Spirit fullness. Sinikka, and all of Nancy’s family,
I can’t believe this has happened! Nancy seemed like a person who would live forever!
I moved to Fredericton in 1971, when I was in grade 5. Sinikka, you were one of my first friends that I had, and therefore was in your house a lot! Your house was always busy, but your Mom always made room for another, and never made me feel in the way. I moved, and life went on, but I’m pleased to say I went to visit your Mom often after getting married. Sad to say, once kids came along, I only saw her different times in the grocery store. But I always had a special spot in my heart for your Mom. My heart is sad tonight as I read her obituary. Please know that I’m thinking of a lot of good times at your house, and you’re in my heart.
Theresa O’Hara xoxo

Back in 2003 my husband and I started a bed and breakfast. One of our first customers were Sinikka and Richard Hurley and their son Jordan. Long story short…we have been forever friends ever since. It wasn’t long afterwards that we were introduced to Nancy. It was instant love and she quickly adopted us into her beautiful family. We were even honoured enough to go cruising with Nancy to the Caribbean. She was such an amazing person with the most unique personality! She called it like she saw it and always made you chuckle. She was like our Mama too. We will miss you Nancy but guaranteed the stories will never stop and your memory will never fade. Rest in Peace sweet Mama. Until we all can cruise together again! With much love, the Doig Family of Peterborough.

The sound of Nancy's laughter from the cottage next to ours growing up and of course her yelling at the boys LOL will aways be something I will cherish. She was like a mother to me. I will for ever be grateful for the time I had with her.
