Aunt Jennie,
When I was a little girl, Aunt Jennie, who was newly married, would invite me to stay with them in Dalhousie. It was a major trip back then! I enjoyed the quiet and being spoiled by her and Uncle Romeo.
Uncle Romeo was MC at our wedding. Our wedding invitation was returned “With bells on!” as their RRSP.
Aunt Jennie and Uncle Ray were always kind and inviting to Glen and I and our children whenever we visited. She and Aunt Ann were very good friends to Mom, who loved them as sisters. They never failed to visit her when in Bathurst, which was a highlight for Mom. We enjoyed their visits as much as Mom did.
We kept in close touch throughout the years when she would proudly fill us in on the comings and goings of her children and grand children.
She will be missed by Sue, Glen and family
The song is ended but the melody lingers on.”

I was very young on our summer trips to Dalhousie and Bathurst. One of the highlights was seeing our kind and loving Aunt Jennie and being with our cousins. Over the years I realized the deep love that mom and Aunt Jennie shared. It was a thing of beauty to be a part of this laughter and love for one another. I love you Aunt Jennie.

My late granny, Ollie Hache (née White) was my great aunt Jennie’s oldest sister. I have fond memories of aunt Jennie being so kind and loving and ever so beautiful! My late dad, John Hache and my late Uncle Peter, loved their aunt Jennie so so much! Aunt Jennie’s loving kindness is what I remember the most. As a little girl I wanted my hair to be just like hers - white and glowing and angelic! May she rest in heavenly peace with my granny Ollie, my dad and uncle Peter and all of our loved ones who have gone before us. I envision a happy reunion with lots of laughter in that heavenly realm.

My Aunt Jenny was my mother, Ann’s absolute, lifelong best friend. When they were together they were always laughing. I loved being a part of my mother’s excitement in anticipation of an upcoming visit with her beloved sister, Jenny. And their shopping trips of buying identical dresses - too funny. Sometimes it’s the smallest gestures that make the largest impact, as when Aunt Jenny surprised me on my 9th birthday with a double layer chocolate cake covered in Smarties while spending a week at the cottage. That gesture warmed my heart and has always stayed with me. I loved my Aunt Jenny.
