Shirley Jane Stairs of Burtt’s Corner, NB, passed away peacefully with family by her side, Tuesday March 18, 2025, at Shepard’s Care Nursing Home in Barrhead, Alberta. Shirley was predeceased by her parents James and Annie Dean, her first husband Ronald White and daughter Rosanne White, her sister, Cathy and brothers Ernie, Tom, Carl, Laurie, Robert, John, Charles, Norman and Basil Dean, and her second husband Harold Stairs, as well as 12 half brothers and sisters.

Shirley is survived by her sisters Tillie Harrison and Kathy Downing, her daughters Sheri (Dan) Crumbaugh and Theresa (Joel) Crumbaugh, her grandchildren Dominick (Ashley) and Jonah (Karly) Woodworth, David Crumbaugh, Melissa (Nolan) Sibley, Emily Crumbaugh and Kris Hansen along with thirteen great grandchildren. As well she is survived by her step-children, Paulette, Susan, William, Thomas and Mark along with their children and grandchildren.

Shirley loved sewing, quilting, gardening, making jam and pickling, her daily walks and spending time with friends and family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will held Friday, March 28, 2025 from 7 to 9 pm, at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB. Funeral Service to be held Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 11 am at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon Memeorial Chapel. Remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
