Hachey, Melinda Marie

The passing of Melinda Marie Hachey of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Arthur Hachey, occurred on March 5, 2025 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on March 22, 1938 in Brantville Tracadie, NB, she was the daughter of the late Mary Ann (Richardson) Brideau and Martin Brideau. Melinda worked for the Marysville Cotton Mill in her earlier years. She was a great baker and cook. She loved to play bingo, listen to country music, gardening, and watching 90-day fiancé.
 

Melinda is survived by her children, Marilda McGivney (Wayne) of Fredericton, Edith Wilson (Billy) of Fredericton, Yvan Hachey (Cyndi) of Fredericton, Art Hachey (Brenda) of Edmonton, Louise Murray (Peter) of Fredericton; grandchildren, Shawn (Jayda), Stacey (Lonnie), Nikki, Katie (Jamie), Dylan (Carrie), Travis (Lisa), Nicolas (Jenny), Alisha, Jenna (Colton), Andrew (Brandy), and Suzanne; siblings, Helen Breau (James-deceased), Alvina Dugas (Mel-deceased), Dosithe Brideau (Judy), Edith Feggos (Mike-deceased), Delia Savoie (Medley-deceased); several great-grandchildren; several special nieces and nephew

She was predeceased by her siblings, Edna Rousselle (George) and Vital Brideau.
 

A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 2 pm with Father Peter Osborne officating.
