Dear Mary Gale, your children, grandchildren, and families.. Don and I send our deepest condolences to each of you.Doug will be remembered by Don as he tells all the stories of the adventures they did. There are many , and as he tells them Don always adds He(Doug) was so crazy. And Don smiles endlessly at his memories of Doug. Time passes and as in life all the plans to visit over the years get put off..But be assured Doug will never be forgotten .

Dear Mary and Family, I met Doug while working as a temp at IBM. During my employ he mentioned his interest in geology— hence our delight as recipients of a beautiful stone originating within the Canterbury area. We have that “door stop” sized beauty until this day, a reminder of Doug’s interest and generosity. His shy smile left a lasting impression. Thinking of you all throughout this life altering loss. Sincerely, Gerri and Gord Steeves

Mary Gayle and family,
Doug was the kind of friend everyone should have! He was so kind and generous because he truly cared for people. If you were in his circle , you had a true friend. I was lucky to have him as that friend. We sure enjoyed salmon fishing and hunting together , whether at Lone Pine or Crown Reserve or Jimmy Brook! Memories I will hold dearly forever. He sure loved Mary and really enjoyed retirement, growing things, tinkering with electronics and being outdoors. I also appreciated his biblical knowledge too!! Missing you , my friend!! Fly high!!! See you on the other shore!!

Mary and Family, Nicole and I want to offer our condolences to you on Doug's passing.
We spend a lot of time together in the 57 years we knew each other. We worked together at IBM
and spent a lot of our leisure time on outdoor activities such as canoeing, fishing, hunting, dirt biking, and we even
dabbled in a bit of taxidermy. Doug was also an excellent artist and I admired his work a great deal.
He was a true friend and will be dearly missed.

Whenever I was visiting Fredericton to see Darlene, it was always a joy to go over to Mary and Doug’s home. I just loved seeing them and I always loved that Doug took an interest in me and made me feel part of the family. This moment was very special to me and every time I went to Fredericton I really enjoyed those chats. Doug always had something nice to say, and of course he was always very interesting.
