Dear Family:
I have so many great memories of Marg from years past. Marg volunteered at VON Fredericton & we spent many afternoons & evenings in the fall ,operating flu immunization clinics. At the end of our shift,we would usually go out to eat & have a great chat. Marg was always so efficient in helping organize the clinics & you could always count on her.
She was a sweet lady & I will always remember her fondly.
I’m so sorry for your loss.
Sincerely Sheila Tissington

I first met Marg when she began volunteering at the VON foot clinic. She met me by saying I know who you are you are Stan's wife, which took me quite by surprise. Turns out she went to Port Elgin high School with Stan but a few years ahead of him. Small world! Marg volunteered for a number of years, and we became close friends, with her eventually getting Stan to become a volunteer too. I had warned him that she was going to ask him and he said no he wasn't going to do it but by the time he got done talking to her on the phone he had agreed and when he got going he loved it! Marg and I spent a lot of time talking together, going to lunch and just generally being friends and in the last few years I would hear from her once a month when she called to remind me of my foot clinic appointment with Bree Woods. If I was home when she called, I'm sure the rest of her clients got called a lot later because we usually talked for about an hour. I had heard that she was unwell and I will surely miss her and our talks. Another friend gone to a better place.

Marg and I met in 2020 at a VON foot clinic (she was the volunteer receptionist) and we quickly became friends. We had so much fun on bus trips from Cape Breton to Nashville and Branson. We had season tickets at the Playhouse for years and usually had dinner at Isaac's Way or Ringo's before the show. Church concerts and just getting together for laughter and mutual support, often at the Blue Canoe, were all special times shared with mutual friends. We have been somewhat laid aside by health concerns and COVID restrictions the last 2 years, but managed to keep in touch. "I'm so glad we had this time together just to share a laugh or sing a song. Seems we just got started and before we know it comes the time we have to say 'so long' (Joe Hamilton). Marg was beautiful from the inside out. I am thankful for so many treasured, wonderful memories. I will never forget her. So long, my dear friend.
