It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Patterson of 55 McKnight Street, Fredericton, NB at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Monday, April 27, 2020 with his wife, Rose Marie of nearly 64 years, at his side. Paul was born on March 2, 1931. He had been in failing health for several years and died peacefully after a ten day stay in hospital.
In addition to his wife, Rose Marie (Lank) Patterson, he is survived by his daughter, Kathy Stickles (Robin) of McLeod Hill, NB and their children, Kirt Stickles (Megan) of McLeod Hill, NB and Kayle Arsenault (Nick) of Quispamsis, NB and their son, Cohen; his son, Kendall Patterson (Holly) of McLeod Hill, NB and their children, Joshua Patterson of Edmonton, AB, Michael Patterson (Kat) of Petwawa, ON and Sara (Andrew) of Fredericton, NB. The family of his deceased son, Kevin Patterson, his daughter, Laura Doyle (Nick) and their family, Eric, Aidan and Bella Doyle of Oshawa, ON; his son, Scott Patterson (Stephanie) and their son, Jude of Grand Bay-Westfield, NB. He also leaves behind two grand step sons, Zachary and Dylan (Morgan) and their daughter, Mia of McLeod Hill, NB; several nieces and nephews; numerous friends from McKnight Street and Harvey Station. He was predeceased by his parents, Hazen and Pearle (Coburn) Patterson of Harvey Station; his sons, Kevin Patterson (April, 2010) and three brothers, Harold, Coburn and Earle.
Paul’s main interest in life was the well being of his children and grandchildren, whom he loved dearly, chauffeuring his grandchildren to hockey and such. He loved to travel and he and Rose Marie had many car trips and bus tours and many trips to several other locations, too numerous to list.
Due to the current health situation, there will be no visitation or service at this time. A burial service will be held at Cherry Mountain Cemetery, Harvey Station, NB.
The family would request that remembrances can be made to the Fredericton Food Bank.
